Senior Manager/Director, Quality Region China (Automotive)
Location: Shanghai
Position: Senior Manager/Director, Quality
Responsibilities:
● Develop and implement quality assurance strategies, policies procedures to ensure consistent product and process quality across the region
● Identify opportunities for process improvement within regional operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, reduce defects, and enhance efficiency
● Lead investigations into quality issues and non-conformances, conducting thorough root cause analyses to implement effective corrective and preventive actions
● Plan and execute regular quality audits of regional facilities to assess compliance with internal quality standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices
● Collaborate closely with SQ organization to establish quality expectations at suppliers, monitor supplier performance, and drive continuous improvement in supplier quality
● Collect and analyze quality data from operational sites, creating insightful reports and dashboards that highlight performance trends, areas for improvement, and KPI achievements
● Provide training and coaching to regional teams on quality principles, tools, and methodologies, ensuring a strong understanding of quality requirements throughout the organization
● Monitor and address customer feedback related to quality issues, working with teams to implement corrective actions that enhance customer satisfaction
● Identify potential quality risks within regional operations, assess their impact, and develop strategies to mitigate risks through proactive measures
● Drive a culture of continuous improvement by fostering innovation, implementing best practices, and facilitating cross-functional collaboration to enhance overall operational quality
Requirements:
● Bachelor and above, preferably major in machinery or industrial /mechanical engineering
● Professional quality/operation management experience for multi-sites organization in China/Asia at international automotive suppliers
● Leadership experience of technical departments preferably in production environments
● Comprehensively learn about corporate products and learn about main performance of products
● Profound knowledge of QM tools and lean management
● Good knowledge in measurement technology and materials
● Strong analytical and conceptual skills
● Quality management in production context
● Continuous improvement of (business) processes and Q-tools
● Mastering of established QM systems, KPIs and tools as well as office applications
● Have control abilities, organization and coordination, influence, performance and systematic conflict management abilities
