Location:China, preferably Shanghai region
Position:Senior Application Engineering Manager Asia
Responsibilities:
• Technical and commercial key contact in the areas of New Technologies and in particular Electrification
• Realization of profitable Business Growth in the area of New Technologies and Electrification (E-Mobility)
• Continuous market analysis to achieve strategy and operative goals as well as new technology trend screening
• Competent technical consultancy and support of customers during the product development in cooperation with the relevant Company departments
• Obtaining new business with potential new customers as well as grow business with existing customers in the area of new technologies (i.e. electrification / E-Mobility)
• Frequent presence at customers and establishment of a trustful, long term relationship
• The commercial customer support includes quotations during the prototype phase, serial offers, at existing customers in cooperation with the Lead Key Account Managers
• Identify relevant applications and products
• Continuous market analysis to achieve strategy and operative goals as well as new technology trend screening
• Meeting the Mobility segment strategy targets for E-Mobility
• Monthly Reporting of defined KPI’s.
• Establish network and promotion of Company by attending conferences, fairs and seminars
• Continuous professional development by seminars and congresses
• Identification, analysis and monitoring of competition
• Interface between Simulation, Material Development, Engineering and relevant customer contacts
• Experience with multi-physics FE methods, their use and application for design evaluation and optimization
• Experience in non-linear material behavior, preferably of elastomers
• Team coordination
Requirements:
• University degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Deep technical understanding and knowledge about the Automotive environment and technologies
• Experience in rubber, plastic components and/or silicon parts (LSR)
• Comprehensive experience in Engineering and/or Sales in Automotive at OEMs or suppliers, preferably in the area of innovative, future technologies such as E-mobility
• Experience in project realization with supporting the customer
• Knowledge of latest EDI tools
• Fluent in English (both spoken and written)
• Technical Vocabulary and communication skills
• Intercultural competence
• Interest for further professional development
• Self-driven and Customer oriented
• Reliable, straightforward and loyal
• Travelling up to 60% within Asia focus on China
