• General Manager (Automotive Supplier, preferable Expat)
  • Location: Shanghai/Shenyang/Tianjin/Taicang
  • Position: General Manager
  • Responsibilities:
  • ● Take charge of company management including but not limited to Operation, R&D and Sales, HR and Finance
    ● According to Group guidelines, define and follow up annual target and objectives
    ● Formulate and execute China business plans and strategies in line with Headquarters
    ● Supervise Sales & Marketing activities for maintenance and improvement of company's competitiveness in China market
    ● Maintain and develop long-term business relations with automotive OEMs
    ● Provide necessary support to sales team to leverage current business advantage for new business acquisition
    ● Lead professional operational management, continually optimize production process and procedures to ensure the company could meet quality standard and customer’s requirements 
    ● Coordinate and optimize operation & purchasing efficiency for cost-saving
    ● Conduct negotiations with national and international suppliers
    ● Overall manage administration, personnel and financial affairs including Profit & Loss responsibility
    ● Present Group image in China by building & maintaining good relationships with Chinese authorities, government, and other influential and important organizations
    ● Together with Headquarters, motivate the whole China organization to achieve profitability and growth targets
    ● Perform other duties as assigned
  • Requirements:
  • ● Expatriate (European and German/Austrian is preferred)
    ● University degree or above, preferably in Engineering or Technology, MBA is a plus
    ● Rich experience in overall plant management in international companies in China, preferably in automotive industry
    ● Strategic mindset in a practical and operational environment
    ● Strong in manufacturing and/or sales management with good finance and business acumen
    ● Strong understanding of intercultural issues, with good knowledge of Chinese and International management and their business culture
    ● Strong leadership skills with a proven record in managing cross functional teams
    ● Strong ability to encourage people, and passion for best practice
    ● Fluent in English or German (both written and spoken), Basic Chinese language skill is a plus
    ● Self-motived, strong in execution
    ● Solid problem solving capability 
    ● Excellent communication and organization skills 
    ● Outstanding interpersonal skill 
    ● Strong in people management 
    ● Entrepreneurial and goal-oriented 
    ● Mature, confident, highly initiative
    ● Stable and reliable
